Why Work with Me?
From I.T Professional to Sports Scientist for National Athletes
Hi, I'm Shawn.

I quit my I.T job & started GritLab because I’ve lived the frustration and want to prevent others from going through it.
From cramping every ride beyond 60 km and plateauing despite training hard on limited time, to completing 300–400 km Audax.

That led me to a key realization: Most cyclists don’t lack motivation—they’re working on the wrong bottleneck.

I went deep into physiology - lactate testing, fueling, and performance diagnostics and applied this approach in paracycling. Contributed to a gold medal at the ASEAN Para Games through precise pacing and race strategy.

Now, I help athletes who struggle in the heat stop guessing and start training based on what their body actually needs.

If you’re putting in the work but cramping, or slowing down in the heat,
you’re probably not lacking effort. You’re solving the wrong problem.
