Hi, I’m Shawn.
I built GritLab because of my mistakes, setbacks, and real performance pressure.
As a cyclist, I used to cramp around 60 km and couldn’t figure out why. It wasn’t fitness, it was mainly sodium loss for me. Fixing that changed everything. I went from struggling through rides to completing 300–400 km Audax without cramping.
Later, when I hit another plateau despite training hard on limited time, I realised something most cyclists miss:
It’s not a motivation problem.
It’s a bottleneck problem.
That led me deep into physiology — lactate testing, fueling, and performance diagnostics.
I applied that same approach in paracycling , analyzing race demands, competitors, and calculating the exact power and speed strategy needed to win. This resulted in a gold medal at the ASEAN Para-Games in 2025.
Now, I help athletes who struggle in the heat stop guessing and start training based on what their body actually needs.
If you’re putting in the work but fading, cramping, or slowing down in the heat,
you’re probably not lacking effort. You’re solving the wrong problem.
